Marlee's Blessing

Marlee was given a very special blessing by her dad on Friday with a few family members there to share the special occasion with us. Reed and Jackie were in town visiting and my dad had flown in that day (about an hour before). Our Bishop came and of course the girls' second Dad, Bart there as well. It was very intimate and special.

Rhaegan was a little confused as to why Marlee was getting so much attention so we had make the day little about her too. As you can tell Rhaegan decided that doing her hair was out of the question and no one was going to change her mind,

Papa Cupps with the two girl. Rhaegan and Papa have definitely bonded this trip.

Bart and the girls. Rhaegan and Bart are the best of friends and I know once Marlee is a little she'll feel the same way.

Shae did a wonderful job with the blessing. I am so grateful to have him as my husband and the father of our two girls. He is a fabulous dad and I know that Rhaegan and Marlee are so thankful he's in their lives.

Farm Fun

Since Grandma and Grandpa Taylor were in town we decided to have some fun at Thanksgiving Point. They have a little farm there with tons of animals for the kids to see and touch. Of course I take two pictures and my camera dies. The goats were a big hit. There were probably 10 baby goats (or kids I guess) which were absolutely adorable. Rhaegan and Ashton enjoyed watching them play. I am so glad that my camera still had some juice for me to catch this picture. Rhaegan is a natural and I thought, "man, your uncle Josh is going to be so proud of you."
Thanks Reed and Jackie for a fun day at the farm!

Can't get enough!

I literally can't get enough of this little angel. She is growing so much everyday. Her new tricks include blowing spit bubbles, kicking at her farm toy, cooing all the time, sleeping through the night (9pm-5am), smiles at Rhaegan when she sings to her, loves it when Rhaegan holds her, watches Dora with Ray Ray and many other things. But of course my all time favorite thing about Marlee is her hair!!
We love you, Marlee!

Second time around

I am definitely getting my money's worth out of this farm toy. Rhaegan loved it when she was a baby and now Marlee can't get enough of it either. Rhaegan decided that she missed it and wanted in on the fun

I love my two little ladies.

The Negotiator

So the other day Rhaegan was in her room having "quiet time." She knows that during quiet time she has to stay in her room until her movie is over. If she comes out before then there are consequences. This time the consequence was she wouldn't be allowed to have an orange creamsicle, something she REALLY wanted.
So I'm getting out of the shower and in walks Rhaegan. I knew that her movie couldn't possibly be over so we started this conversation:

Me: Rhaegan, is your movie over?
Rhaegan: No, Mom. I just wanted to tell you something.
Me: Okay, Rhaegan, but now you can't have a orange Popsicle because you came out of your room before your movie was over.
Rhaegan: No Mom! I really want one (she's almost crying now).
Me: Okay, here's the deal. If you go back into your room and finish your movie without coming out again, then I will think about giving you a Popsicle. If you come out again though you don't get one.
Rhaegan: How about this, Mom. You don't think about it and just give me a Popsicle.

Who does she think she is? I did have to laugh though. She is too smart for her own good.

Rhaegan, Little Man and High Heels?

Just for you, Mike! Who says high heels are just for girls? Rhaegan introduced them to her best friend the other day and I have to say they were a hit. Little Man had a hard time walking in them at first but he quickly became more comfortable in them the longer they stayed on ( and Mike, they stayed on a long time).

Good weather brings smiles

My two beautiful girls woke up happy and smiling today and I'm going to have to blame it on the weather. It's suppose to be around 80 degrees and sunny today. I have been patiently waiting for a day like this. Rhaegan and Marlee have apparently been longing for it as well. We all got dressed in our cute summer outfits (well the girls did. I really don't have anything cute for summer yet)
Then we had to have a little photo shoot before Marlee had to lay down for a nap.

I love good weather.

Thanks Auntie Krista

Thanks Krista for this adorable onesie! As you can see Marlee loves it too! We are really looking forward to seeing you and Josh in NC. I wish it were sooner though. Rhaegan asks about you and wonders when you're coming back.

We finally got an updated picture of me and the girls. I am always the one taking the pictures so I'm never in them.

Cinco de Mayo

Happy Cinco de Mayo everyone!!

We decided to celebrate Cinco de Mayo the correct way this year: great food and great company! We had a neighborhood dinner out on the playground and everyone brought something Mexican to share.

I decided to make some yummy chicken enchiladas. They may not look appealing but man they were good (not to toot my own horn or anything).

We had a lot of fun eating and talking and eating some more

Rhaegan enjoying a little soccer. Her new sunglasses stay on her face all day long. Even inside while going potty her eyes are protected.

The Hair

Marlee's hair has been the topic of many conversations lately. It definitely has a mind of its own. I personally love it, but Shae really wants me to gel it down every morning. It's starting to lighten up in the back but it's still darker than Rhaegan's was at this age. We might have a brunette on our hands. Rhaegan loves creating photo opps. She loves holding Marlee and as you can clearly tell from Marlee's expression, she loves being held (not ).

I love this picture. I'm not a fan of the Binky but it beats a screaming face.

Rhaegan singing to Marlee. It actually calmed her right down.
