Family Night up the Canyon

Rhaegan, Shae and I returned home safely today from Laramie, WY and so get ready for some extremely cute pictures and blog entries. But first I have been wanting to blog about our fun family/friends night we had last Monday so I'm going to do that first.

A bunch of couples from Belle Monet (our complex) decided to have a little BBQ up the canyon in American Fork. It was so much fun and a great way to get to know each other even better. There was tons of great food and a lot of fun conversations. We did, however, have to keep a VERY close eye on the 8 kids because of the roaring river which was about 15 feet from where we were eating. With all the snow we had and then the extremely warm days last week, the water level was very high. Besides that little worry we all had a lot of fun.

Rhaegan and Kyle examining each other's hands to see who had the most sticky S'more on them.

This log was a hit with the kids. They walked back and forth on it the entire time we were there.

I know there are a lot of Rhaegan and Kyle but they are best friends and love to be around each other

Quick Update!

Sorry for the little break I've been taking the past week. I have been in Laramie (as you can see from my mom's blog) and I haven't been able to upload my photos yet. We are having a great time. The weather is terrible but other than that everything has been a lot of fun. Rhaegan has really warmed up to everyone over the past 4 days. She loves her Papa and Grandma Cupps but has really taken a liking to Opa and Oma Cupps. The picture above is from my mom's camera but it's a really cute one so I had to use it. I will start my regular blogging once I get home tomorrow. I know you have all missed them so much.

Day at the Zoo!

Shae, Rhaegan and I decided to take advantage of the nice weather by taking a trip to the Hogle Zoo. I'm not a big fan of zoos ( I think they are mean), but Rhaegan loves them and we had 2 weeks until our season passes ran out, so we thought lets go. Ashly, Maddox and Conner were able to join us which made the trip even more enjoyable.

I know this picture is dark but the Rhino was so close that I had to get a quick shot.

Conner, Rhaegan and Maddox loved the Bobcat exhibit.

Rhaegan and Shae posing in front of the black bears. Sorry I didn't get the bears in the picture.

Conner and Rhaegan liked the animals but once they discovered the play area the fun really started

Can you see the bear in the background?

Thank you, Grandma!

We received a wonderful package from Grandma Cupps yesterday. Rhaegan loves to get mail so when she saw the box she was so excited to open it. Inside we found 7 new books for Rhaegan to read. For those of you who don't know Rhaegan she is obsessed with reading. She probably spends 2 or 3 hours a day just sitting in her room flipping through her books. There were also some much needed summer clothes for her in the package. She (and I) loved them. Thank you so much Grandma (mom) for the great surprise. We really love it and you.

Another trip to Idaho

Yes, we went to Idaho again last weekend. We decided we would go up there and celebrate Mother's Day with Shae's mom and dad. Rhaegan loves going up there. There is so much for her to do. She was seriously outside from sun-up until sundown playing, jumping on the trampoline, riding horses, swinging, pretty much just keeping very busy all day long. I was thinking that with all the running around she did she would be so tired come bedtime that she would just go right to sleep. I was unfortunately wrong. She is still getting up in the middle of the night, not going to sleep when we put her to bed and then waking up at 6:00 am even when she would go to bed at 10pm. Needless to say Shae and I were walking zombies everyday. At least Rhaegan had a GREAT time. Rhaegan and her cousin Atalya had so much fun together. They decided that their cousin Seth's baseball game was a little boring so they were picking up flowers and garbage to show each other
They both didn't have swimsuits so swim diapers were just going to have to do. They still thought a little pose was in order.
Rhaegan was trying to find a snake while walking through the trees.

My handsome husband hard a t work

Rhaegan and Atalya jumped and jumped all day. We had to bribe them with candy to come inside for dinner.

Be Back Soon!

Sorry that I haven't had any new blogs later. We decided to go to Idaho last Friday so I haven't had much time to sit down and blog. I will write asap! Hope all is well with everyone. Here's a fun picture just to keep you coming back. Remember this memorable day? Love you Josh and Krista!

Shae's Birthday!!

I know Shae's birthday was last Sunday but I am a big procrastinator so his birthday "blog" is a little late. We had a pretty good day. Shae had meetings at church all morning, 3 hours of church in the afternoon and a long drive (because of Rhaegan not the actual distance) up to my Grandma and Grandpa's house for his birthday dinner. Luckily Shae received a fabulous gift in the mail the day before his birthday so any misery he sustained on Sunday was pretty much negated because of this gift. Shae is now the proud owner of a Nintendo Wii. He has been wanting one ever since in came out last year. I'm just not a huge gaming system fan so I wasn't in any hurry to buy one. However, the Wii is soooooo much fun. You actually get a little bit of a workout playing it. Rhaegan enjoys watching Mommy beat Daddy at golf.

After dinner up at Grandma and Grandpa's we had cake and cookies at Mike and Ashly's house. He got is favorite cake, mint chocolate chip ice cream cake with an Oreo crust and chocolate mousse in the middle, and I make him is favorite cookies. All in all it was a pretty good day. Happy late Birthday, Shae. We love you!!

Our Little Night Owl

We have a night owl on our hands. Rhaegan has started this little trend of getting up in the middle of the night (always around 2:30 or 3) saying she wants to watch a movie or have some Eggos. The first two times it was okay because I thought this won't last, it's just a phase. Unfortunately, I was very wrong. It has now been 2 weeks and it's still happening every night. We don't let her watch a movie and we don't feed her but she still seems to think that maybe one of these times she'll get lucky and we'll give in. Last night was the last straw for me. I told her she had to stay in bed and that was her only option. She of course she screamed and cried but I kept her in her room. About 20 minutes went by when all the sudden we see a light coming from her room. She had turned on her light and was quietly reading books on her toy box. I quit!! She can do whatever she wants just as long as it's in her room and it doesn't wake me up.

Unpleasant Surprise!!!

This is what we woke up to today! It is May 1st for crying out loud. It was a beautiful day on Monday and Tuesday. Then Wednesday was a little bit cloudy and breezy but today is just annoying. I am so tired of snow and cold weather. Luckily it melted rather quickly so I wasn't forced to look at it for too long. I hope everyone else is having good "May" weather.
