More Pictures...

Here are several more pictures from our awesome trip to North Carolina.
Marlee and her BFF Norah

Rhaegan and Aunt Krista at Studio 12, an adorable little "paint your own pottery" shop. Rhaegan painted a bowl and it turned out to cute. She uses it as her cereal bowl now.

Daddy-daughter moment

Uncle Nick built several sand castles on this trip. Rhaegan loved watching/helping. She continually had me fill up her buckets with water so she could have wet sand to mold and play with.

We discovered a pond full of turtles right across the street from our house. Rhaegan loved feeding them bread. We went there at least once a day. It was actually really amazing seeing 40-50 turtles gathering in the water below anxiously awaiting some tasty morsel to drop from above.

Beach Bums

Here are a few pictures of us at the beach. We are having so much fun this year (of course we have fun every year). Having two babies in the house is interesting and Rhaegan has been enjoying her one-on-one time with all of the adults. The weather has been gorgeous. Not too hot with a little bit of rain each day. It's a nice change from the previous years when the weather was so hot you almost didn't want to even open the front door in fear of breaking out into a drenching sweat. Rhaegan was trying so hard to get Marlee to look at the camera. Marlee likes to look at the ocean but touching it is a different story.
Aunt Krista tried to get Marlee use to the water little by little. She was ok with it until it touch more of her than just her feet.

I know I'm her mother but I have to say she's pretty darn cute.

Krista and Marlee with Colleen and Norah. These two little girls became immediate friends.

Playing in the sand is something we ALL do everyday. Nick builds some amazing sand castles. Rhaegan loved filling the buckets with water and then shoveling sand into them. I know, sounds fun right?
More pictures to come...it's only Wednesday!

Marlee at 4 months!

Marlee is 4 months old now! Where does the time go? She is so full of personality. She loves to smile and anything and everything but has not laughed out loud yet. I always have Rhaegan dance around to try and provoke a squeal but nothing has happened yet.
At her 4 month check up her doctor said she looked great! She was 13 lbs and 25" tall. Since she was born she has had the hardest time eating and would be extremely fussy after each meal. We tried everything we possibly could think of from reflux medicine to me having to stop eating any dairy. Nothing seemed to make a difference. So after a few tears and guilty feelings I had to stop breastfeeding and now Marlee is on Alimentum, a hypoallergenic formula (which is EXTREMELY expensive and stinks). She is doing a lot better, not 100% but a whole lot better. Good thing she's cute. It makes spending $25 every 5 days worth it.

Our Independence Day

We spent the 4th up in Idaho with all of Shae's family this year. It was great to get to see everyone especially Shae's brother Brant and his family whom we don't see that often. Rhaegan was beyond excited to be with all of her cousins. I think I maybe saw her 3 times the entire vacation. She was up at 6 and was going nonstop until 10 each night. It was great to see her having so much fun and exploring new things such as boating, four wheeling, fireworks, Dilly bars, and much more. These two are like two peas in a pod. They were inseparable.
Everyone loves Papa!

Rhaegan in her fourth of July t-shirt and adorable hairdo (Thanks Hailey).

Looks at these blondies! Marlee may become a blond, but her brown hair is sticking around for a little bit longer.

Movie night in pj's was a big hit.

Rhaegan getting ready for her first boat ride. She was super excited about the ride but was a little unsure about her suit. She wanted to borrow it from her cousin but when she put on the top she was completely confused as to why she couldn't pull it down over her belly button. I kept having to explain to her that this suit showed her tummy. It was pretty funny watching her fiddle with it.

Oldest and youngest grand kid; 15 and 4 months

Storytime

Rhaegan really wants Marlee to loves books as much as she does. She decided that a little "reading session" was just the trick. Marlee wasn't too into it but that didn't stop Rhaegan from trying.

Swimming pools are overrated

Who needs a normal sized swimming pool when clearly a small green bucket will do just fine? Our weather here in Utah has been very "spring-like" for the past several weeks, never getting warmer than 70 degrees. So we haven't been able to go to the pool. Rhaegan decided that she didn't need our community pool to have fun she would just be creative and come up with something on her own.
I had given her a bowl filled with water and a couple of rags so she could clean the windows out on our balcony. She loves to do it and it gives me about an hour to do the things that I need to get done. After a little while I decided to see how she was doing and this is what I found. Hopefully the weather warms up because I'm not sure this bowl could handle Rhaegan sitting in it everyday.

Huckfin Day

This week was our city's annual "Strawberry Days" where we celebrate it's history with seven days of fun activities. Yesterday we attended "Huckfin Day" with our friends. Rhaegan and I went last year and loved it so when it rolled back around this year we of course had to go. It started at 9 am and we arrived at 9:08 only to be faced with huge lines and an enormous crowd. Whoever said arriving right at the beginning of an event was the best way to go was extremely mistaken in this case. It didn't stop us from having a great time though. Here we are waiting in line for the pony rides (one of Rhaegan's favorite activities).

We finally made it!! Rhaegan was so excited to get on her horse and taken him for a ride. She was smiling the entire time.

Rhaegan and Little man enjoying their doughnuts from the doughnut walk.

Hand in hand is how these two little ones roll

Marlee was great the entire time. She loved looking at the balloons everyone was holding. It was a lot of fun. Tomorrow we have the parade (one of my favorite activities). I love "Strawberry Days"
