Swimming pools are overrated

Who needs a normal sized swimming pool when clearly a small green bucket will do just fine? Our weather here in Utah has been very "spring-like" for the past several weeks, never getting warmer than 70 degrees. So we haven't been able to go to the pool. Rhaegan decided that she didn't need our community pool to have fun she would just be creative and come up with something on her own.
I had given her a bowl filled with water and a couple of rags so she could clean the windows out on our balcony. She loves to do it and it gives me about an hour to do the things that I need to get done. After a little while I decided to see how she was doing and this is what I found. Hopefully the weather warms up because I'm not sure this bowl could handle Rhaegan sitting in it everyday.

Huckfin Day

This week was our city's annual "Strawberry Days" where we celebrate it's history with seven days of fun activities. Yesterday we attended "Huckfin Day" with our friends. Rhaegan and I went last year and loved it so when it rolled back around this year we of course had to go. It started at 9 am and we arrived at 9:08 only to be faced with huge lines and an enormous crowd. Whoever said arriving right at the beginning of an event was the best way to go was extremely mistaken in this case. It didn't stop us from having a great time though. Here we are waiting in line for the pony rides (one of Rhaegan's favorite activities).

We finally made it!! Rhaegan was so excited to get on her horse and taken him for a ride. She was smiling the entire time.

Hand in hand is how these two little ones roll

Marlee was great the entire time. She loved looking at the balloons everyone was holding. It was a lot of fun. Tomorrow we have the parade (one of my favorite activities). I love "Strawberry Days"

Rhaegan's Day of Fun

This past Monday was definitely filled with family and fun. Reed and Jackie were here visiting us so we decided to make the most out of what could have been a normal, boring Monday. It started out with breakfast at Kneader's (they have the best french toast). Then it was off to the grocery store. We got everything we needed and then some (thank you Reed and Jackie). We were then off to play a little "putt-putt golf." Rhaegan was so excited about the idea. Once we got there it was a different story though. She decided after the 4th hole that she wanted to go home. What a party-pooper.

Fortunately her attitude changed and she started having a great time helping us all get our balls into the holes. With her feet strategically placed around the hole our chances of a hole-in-one increased dramatically.

There were high-fives on every hole

and of course a little guidance from Papa. Rhaegan wanted to just throw the ball. I mean who needs a club anyway.

After we finished golfing Rhaegan and Marlee had a little "reading session" to calm down from such a busy day. Shae immediately collapsed on the bed while I caught up on a few things. Thanks for the fun filled day, Reed and Jackie.

Happy Birthday, Grandma Taylor!!

Happy Birthday, Grandma! We hope that you have a great day. You deserve it for all you do for us. You're the best grandma in town.
We love you, Grandma!

Bedtime Stories!

We always read two books to Rhaegan before she goes to bed. The other night she decided that she wanted Marlee to listen to the stories as well. I thought for sure Marlee wouldn't last for even half of a book. I was wrong. She loved listening to Shae read and being able to lay right next to her big sister. She didn't make a peep the whole time. Rhaegan loved being able to share her bedtime stories with her as well.

You can tell from the smile on Rhaegan's face how happy she is. It was a very cute first experience for all of us.

Do they look alike?

I think they look different but some people say they look identical. What do you think?

Marlee is a little bit younger in this picture but not by too much.

Marlee at 3 months!

I've got to say, these past 3 months have gone so much faster than the first 3 months with Rhaegan. I felt like Rhaegan was never going grow up and now I can't get Marlee to stop growing up. She is officially 3 months old now. Her new tricks include rolling over (stomach to back), laughing at her crazy sister, holding her head up pretty well when she's propped up against something, sleeping like an angel at night (not so much for the naps though) and much more. We love her sweet face and mellow personality. She makes us smile all day long.

I still can't believe she's already 3 months. Where does the time go?
