Who's Who?

Here you go, Mom. I will look for some more "look-a-like" photos. These were the ones I thought looked the most similar.
Bath Time

This one stumped me at first

Bath Time

Marlee is definitely going to be a swimmer. She LOVES the water. The first time we gave her a bath she was a little unsure about the process. But now, she just hears the water running and actually starts smiling. Rhaegan, of course, has to be front and center during bath time so we fill the tub up around the baby tub and Rhaegan takes a bath with Marlee. Rhaegan feels like she's helping and gets a bath at the same time.

Easter dresses

I had the girls in their dresses last week but with everything that was happening on Easter morning a photo shoot was not going to happen. So we put them in their dresses for church today and tried to get at least one cute shot. Marlee was a good 30 minutes past her usual nap time so she wasn't about to smile, but Rhaegan smiled enough for the both of them.

By the end Marlee had had enough. Rhaegan was trying to console her which was really cute to watch. Thanks, Mom for the adorable dresses.

Post Easter Fun

Even though Easter Morning was horrible because of Rhaegan's massive ear infection, we still managed to have a little Easter fun. Rhaegan was introduced to dying eggs (we had to explain the whole "dying" part since she knows what the other meaning of the word is). She did these eggs all by herself. I was pretty impressed when I came into the kitchen to make sure there wasn't dye all over the walls and ceiling and saw her creations. She is continually asking to dye eggs. I guess it's not just going to be an Easter project in our house.
There were 5 different colors to choose from but she decided to mix them all and came up with some pretty creative designs

Then of course the Easter bunny dropped off a fun basket full of goodies for Rhaegan. She loves Dora so the Dora painting book was a huge hit.
This was her first painted page.

These pictures were taken today actually but I had to include them because I thought they were so cute
What a ham!!!

Happy Easter?

So the question mark in the title is because our Easter was not as happy as one would have hoped. I was prepared and everything but then Saturday night hit and my life was thrown a huge curve ball....Here's the story:

Saturday at about 4pm Rhaegan starts telling me that her ear hurts. For those of you who know Rheagan's ear history know that after 2 years of major ear infections every 6 weeks we got tubes put in Rhaegan's ears. This past January, exactly a year after they were put in, her tubes fell out (which is what's suppose to happen). Two weeks after they came out she was hit with her first infection. It was a really bad one too. We got the medicine for it and after 10 days she was back to normal. That was in February. So now it's April and she's telling me her ear hurts again. Rhaegan never complains about her ears hurting unless it's BAD!! So I knew they were infected but I still had to go to the doctors.

We arrive at Urgent Care 10 minutes before they closed and were seen by the PA on call that day. She looks in Rhaegan's left ear (the ear that's not bothering her) and says that it looks clear. Then she looks in her right ear and says, "Well, there's a little fluid in there but it's not infected by any means." She, however, gave her an antibiotic anyway because of her history of ear infections. We left and I was completely surprised that they weren't infected. Don't worry if you're thinking the same thing...here comes the tidal wave.

That night Rhaegan went to bed but was still complaining of her ear hurting. I gave her some Motrin and sent her to bed. She was up ALL NIGHT LONG!!! Not only was she up, she was screaming so hard that I almost took her to the ER. She was banging her head on the floor, kicking anything she could, screaming bloody murder. I couldn't give her more medicine for another hour so that poor thing was suffering right in front of my eyes and there was nothing I could do. Every 5 hours (I know it's suppose to be 6-8) I would give her more medicine. I put a hot wash cloth on her ear every 20 minutes which seemed to help a little.

The next morning we got up and got ready for church. We arrived at church, took our seats and i look at Rhaegan. She has blood and greenish yellow junk oozing out of her ear and down her face. HER EARDRUM HAD RUPTURED!!!! No infection my butt. I was furious! I hadn't filled her prescription because they told me to wait because her ears were fine. I am never going back to that office again. How could they miss something so serious.

We leave church and as I'm putting her in her car seat I noticed that her OTHER EARDRUM HAS RUPTURED!! Ok, that's it! I am beyond mad at this point. I felt so bad that Rhaegan had been in so much pain and I probably could have helped if I had filled her prescription and started her on it. I guess trusting the doctor (well, nurse) is overrated.

Rhaegan is now on antibiotics and is doing better. Needless to say our Easter wasn't filled with candy and treats. Maybe next year we'll be able to celebrate the holiday appropriately.

Visitors from Laramie

A couple of weeks ago we had some wonderful visitors come to see us (and by us I really mean Rhaegan and Marlee). My grandma and grandpa Cupps were finishing up their road trip and our house was their final stop before heading on back to Laramie. We had a great time visiting with them. We wish they could have stayed longer. Rhaegan warmed right up to them (especially grandpa) and was talking their ears off pretty much the whole time they were here. Grandma couldn't get enough of Marlee.
Sorry about the Rhaegan's green mouth. She was promised a gumball if she ate her lunch and behaved. We just forgot to wait until after the photo shoot to give it to her.

My 2 Munchkins

Sorry for the major blogging hiatus. I feel like the majority of my time is now spent nursing, changing diapers, playing with Rhaegan, changing diapers, nursing...okay you get the point. We also went up to Idaho this past week so I was busy up there too. Anyway, I'm back and here are some pictures of my two munchkins. Marlee is smiling now which is so cute. Her hair is getting a little lighter but it's not as light as Rhaegan's was at this age so I might just have a little brunette on my hands. Rhaegan loved showing off the sister to her cousins. Her cousins Atalya and Jameason also have a new baby sister who's 4 weeks older than Marlee. Rhaegan enjoyed having two babies to look after.

Rhaegan and Atalya set up a little photo shoot with their sisters. It was so cute to see how proud of them they are.
This is my favorite picture yet. I love my two little girls

Marlee's semi-smile.
