Trouble Maker

The title of this post pretty much sums up everything. Marlee is our little trouble maker. She gets into everything. Whether it's the dishwasher, the shoe basket or the tampons she is everywhere. Rhaegan was never too curious about anything so I didn't have to chase her around. Miss Marlee on the other hand, she is definitely our little "Curious George." She has also developed new trait: screaming at the top of her lungs when you take something away from her. She tenses up and just lets out this ear-piercing cry.
She also loves being naked. The fight we have to have with her whenever it's time to put on clothes is beyond exhausting.

Toothbrushes are he new best friend. I find the thought of sharing a toothbrush absolutely repulsive. Marlee on the other hand thinks it's fabulous

A Good Night!

I was introduced to the world of coupons and mega savings by Ashly and last night I was able to put what I have learned to use. We headed out to Smith's at around 830pm, coupons and shopping lists in hand. We spent about an hour (or longer depending on who you ask) filling our carts and then headed to the check out counters. I anxiously awaited my total and when it popped up on the screen I had that feeling of victory like after winning the 50 freestyle in a championship swim meet. My total before handing the cashier my Fresh Values Card and coupons was $93.69. The total amount I paid was......

$32.82!!!!!

That is a savings of 66%!

This is definitely something I can and will get use to!

Special addition

Rhaegan and Marlee are so excited about the new addition to our family. We get to watch little Koda three days a week and I have to say it has been a lot of fun. Marlee is a handful because all she wants to do is touch him, play with him, sit on him. You name it and Marlee has probably tried to do it. Rhaegan is enjoying being a "mom" to a different baby (Marlee has definitely out-grown her baby phase). We love being able to help Crystal and Bart out. Thanks for this super-fun opportunity!

Better late than never...

I know this post is a little belated. I had all these photos on my camera and then my camera broke resulting in my forgetting all about them. Anyway, I finally uploaded them and of course I needed to share Rhaegan's special day with everyone. She was able to celebrate her birthday with her closest friends at Carl's Jr. She has now labeled "opening presents" as her favorite thing to do. Having a birthday so close to Christmas is going to cause some "spoiled" moments in our house, I can just feel it.She had a great time playing and opening gifts. She received so many great things.
Play-Doh is the best and this caddy is so much fun. I sometimes find Shae enjoying it even more than Rhaegan does.

This wrapping paper is what Rhaegan liked the best.

Homemade cupcakes with pink frosting and sprinkles. I could have made tofu cake and it would have been fine just as long as the pink frosting was on top of it.

It was a great day!

Favorites II

I know I said this particular post would come the day after Rhaegan's favorites were posted but as you can see I it's been much longer than a day. Oh well, better late than never.

Marlee:

Likes:
1. Marlee loves to take a bath. If she hears any water running she begins to flap her arms and squeal with delight.

2. Hair. She love to pull it, play with it, eat it (I know, disgusting right).

3. A blanket touching her face when she's going to sleep. It actually ends up over her entire face by the time she's completely asleep

4. Chicken nuggets

5. Cold air hitting her face

6. Toothbrushes

7. Sippy cups with juice in them. She loves any kind of juice

8. Music of any kind. Her little body begins to bounce to the best every time

9. Giving kisses. They are open-mouth with some tongue but it's still cute

10. Making huge messes!! She can destroy any room in a matter of seconds

Dislikes:
1. Having something taken away from her. She screams quite loudly

2. Getting dressed after a bath or in the morning

3. Getting her diaper changed

4. Baby food. Well I think it's just the fact that we are feeding it to her and she's not doing it herself. She very independent.

5. Being in her car seat

6. Socks

7. Yogurt with pieces of fruit in it

8. T.V.

9. Having her nose wiped

10. Being wrapped up in a blanket

Her little personality makes us laugh and can drive us crazy but we love her.

Anniversary

Happy Anniversary!

Yesterday we celebrated a special day. It's been 5 wonderful years since Shae and I took the plunge into eternal bliss. Okay, that's a little extreme I know. I do what Shae to know though, that I love him and appreciate everything he does for our family. I would not be the person I am today without him by my side. Our day was simple yet perfect.

I was surprised with a beautiful arrangement of daisies in the morning. Shae actually got online and researched what flower was suppose to be given on your 5th anniversary

We then got to go to dinner and I movie which was absolutely fantastic.

The day wasn't quite over though. When we arrived home from our date I had a little present waiting for me. "The Proposal" is one of the funniest movies I have ever seen.

Favorites

To start out this new year I thought I would help everyone get to know our little ladies. They are so much fun and bring us so much joy. This is also for their journals so bare with me.

RHAEGAN:

Her likes and dislikes are very easily detected.

1. She LOVES pajamas. I think she owns 8 pairs now

2. She LOVES anything princess related

3. Pink is her favorite color (go figure)

4. She loves books. She will want you to read a book to her once and then she remembers the words and reads the book to herself over and over.

5. She loves to cook with me

6. Favorite TV show is "Max and Ruby"

7. She loves painting her nails and my nails.

8. Sticker books can keep her occupied for hours

9. Favorite food is candy (don't worry she doesn't get that much)

10. Favorite game is tag and/or Hide and Seek

Dislikes:

1. Marlee messing up the DVDs (OCD much?)

2. Having a shirt on when she's going to the bathroom

3. Trying new foods

4. Getting her hair done

5. Sleeping

6. Skirts that don't twirl or clothes that aren't pink or purple

7. Being told something she already knows

8. Pulp in OJ

9. Sharing attention with Marlee

10. Help (buckling car seat, putting on clothes, cutting up her food, etc.)

We love all of her little characteristics. She keeps us on our toes, but makes us smile everyday.
