Left Unattended

The conversation went like this:
"Rhaegan, please go listen at Marlee's door to see if she's awake."
"Okay, Mom!"
About 5 minutes later I assume Rhaegan just forgot to come tell me if Marlee was awake or not. Think again, Kendall
Rhaegan thought she was so funny and I have to admit, even though Marlee was not awake when she went in there (Rhaegan told me she called her name to get her eyes to open) it was pretty cute seeing my two little girls together and happy.

A Day with the Princesses

Rhaegan was so excited to see all the princesses once we arrived at Disneyland. It was hard to explain to her that we might not be able to see them all. Fortunately we were able to see all of them except Belle. And she was able to get her picture taken with five of them. As you can see Shae pretty thrilled to be standing next to Jasmine. We wanted a picture of the princesses with both of our girls but they are technically not suppose to hold any children so Shae had no problem holding Marlee for the photo.
Rhaegan with Silvermist (one of the Fairies from Pixie Hollow)

Tinkerbell was a big hit. Rhaegan loves her.

I was hoping that Ariel would be one of the princesses Rhaegan met. She loves reading The Little Mermaid so I figured she would be thrilled to actually meet her. When we first walk in, though, Rhaegan was a little scared (or overwhelmed) but once she saw Marlee get close to Ariel she ran right up to her. Can you tell what's in Rhaegan's hand? That's right, an Ariel Pez dispenser. She really wanted to offer a pez candy to Ariel.

Sleeping Beauty is one of my favorites.
Rhaegan was on cloud nine the rest of the day. Nothing really added up to the 5 minutes of royalty she experienced.

Disneyland

Well...we went on yet another trip this past weekend. July was definitely our month of traveling. We headed down to Disneyland with our friends Bart, Crystal and Marisa. Our Trip began on Thursday evening. We rented and van so that we could all be together for the 9 hour drive (I was just excited to have help with the girls). We stopped in St. George at Bart's brother's house for the night and then continued our trip Friday morning. After several stops we finally arrived at our hotel at around 4 pm. My girls and I had never been to Disneyland and Shae had been once but didn't remember it at all. We were so excited to get to the park. Since we got there in the late afternoon we decided to just go to Downtown Disney . Shae, Bart and Crystal on our walk to the park.
Marlee was super excited (as you can see) for the Peter Pan ride. We waited in line for only 15 minutes. It was a great ride. Rhaegan loved it.

The Castle was a big hit for Rhaegan. She was so excited to be walking through the princesses house. It was really cute. Rhaegan really wanted to ride the Dumbo ride. She wanted the pink elephant but it was taken so she settled on the purple on.

Our walk down Main Street. We saw Goofy, Pluto, and Donald Duck right when we walked into the park. The buildings were so cute. I was extremely impressed with everything there.
More pictures to come....including Rhaegan's pictures with the princesses!

More Pictures...

Here are several more pictures from our awesome trip to North Carolina.
Marlee and her BFF Norah

Rhaegan and Aunt Krista at Studio 12, an adorable little "paint your own pottery" shop. Rhaegan painted a bowl and it turned out to cute. She uses it as her cereal bowl now.

Daddy-daughter moment

Uncle Nick built several sand castles on this trip. Rhaegan loved watching/helping. She continually had me fill up her buckets with water so she could have wet sand to mold and play with.

We discovered a pond full of turtles right across the street from our house. Rhaegan loved feeding them bread. We went there at least once a day. It was actually really amazing seeing 40-50 turtles gathering in the water below anxiously awaiting some tasty morsel to drop from above.

Beach Bums

Here are a few pictures of us at the beach. We are having so much fun this year (of course we have fun every year). Having two babies in the house is interesting and Rhaegan has been enjoying her one-on-one time with all of the adults. The weather has been gorgeous. Not too hot with a little bit of rain each day. It's a nice change from the previous years when the weather was so hot you almost didn't want to even open the front door in fear of breaking out into a drenching sweat. Rhaegan was trying so hard to get Marlee to look at the camera. Marlee likes to look at the ocean but touching it is a different story.
Aunt Krista tried to get Marlee use to the water little by little. She was ok with it until it touch more of her than just her feet.

I know I'm her mother but I have to say she's pretty darn cute.

Krista and Marlee with Colleen and Norah. These two little girls became immediate friends.

Playing in the sand is something we ALL do everyday. Nick builds some amazing sand castles. Rhaegan loved filling the buckets with water and then shoveling sand into them. I know, sounds fun right?
More pictures to come...it's only Wednesday!

Marlee at 4 months!

Marlee is 4 months old now! Where does the time go? She is so full of personality. She loves to smile and anything and everything but has not laughed out loud yet. I always have Rhaegan dance around to try and provoke a squeal but nothing has happened yet.
At her 4 month check up her doctor said she looked great! She was 13 lbs and 25" tall. Since she was born she has had the hardest time eating and would be extremely fussy after each meal. We tried everything we possibly could think of from reflux medicine to me having to stop eating any dairy. Nothing seemed to make a difference. So after a few tears and guilty feelings I had to stop breastfeeding and now Marlee is on Alimentum, a hypoallergenic formula (which is EXTREMELY expensive and stinks). She is doing a lot better, not 100% but a whole lot better. Good thing she's cute. It makes spending $25 every 5 days worth it.

Our Independence Day

We spent the 4th up in Idaho with all of Shae's family this year. It was great to get to see everyone especially Shae's brother Brant and his family whom we don't see that often. Rhaegan was beyond excited to be with all of her cousins. I think I maybe saw her 3 times the entire vacation. She was up at 6 and was going nonstop until 10 each night. It was great to see her having so much fun and exploring new things such as boating, four wheeling, fireworks, Dilly bars, and much more. These two are like two peas in a pod. They were inseparable.
Everyone loves Papa!

Rhaegan in her fourth of July t-shirt and adorable hairdo (Thanks Hailey).

Looks at these blondies! Marlee may become a blond, but her brown hair is sticking around for a little bit longer.

Movie night in pj's was a big hit.

Rhaegan getting ready for her first boat ride. She was super excited about the ride but was a little unsure about her suit. She wanted to borrow it from her cousin but when she put on the top she was completely confused as to why she couldn't pull it down over her belly button. I kept having to explain to her that this suit showed her tummy. It was pretty funny watching her fiddle with it.
